Once a fire has been detected by one of our fire alarm systems, our inert gas extinguishing system will be triggered. Releasing gas into the required room, our equipment will reduce oxygen percentages to those lower than the level needed for combustion.
To provide accurate and fast fire protection, we use a number of different inert gases that are suitable for a variety of different situations and applications – CO2, Argonite and FM-200.

CO2 and Argonite (a gaseous mix of nitrogen and argon) work by reducing the levels of oxygen in the room to put out a fire while retaining enough oxygen to support human life.
FM-200 works slightly differently. It causes a chemical reaction in the air, which slows down the process of oxidisation enough to extinguish a fire before it can really begin.
What Type of System do I Need?
As each type of fire extinguishant carries its own advantages and disadvantages, the choice is based on a number of factors, such as where it will be sited; what other gases, chemicals and materials it will be surrounded by; how much storage space there is; and the health and safety of those that will be working in areas protected by the gas.
Our highly skilled and dedicated fire security engineers can easily and quickly interface our inert gas extinguishing systems into a wider fire detection and alarm system. They can be used with most fire panels, but do require separate maintenance to ensure their proper function in the event of a fire.
